Connect CRE Recognizes Rebecca Urland Monzi as a Top Lawyer in Real Estate

Honorees have made an impact through both their practice in real estate-related matters and community and industry contributions. Rebecca was selected as a Washington, D.C. winner from among an abundance of submissions from companies across the region.
Rebecca concentrates her practice in real estate development, working with developers, investors and financial institutions. She supports clients in all aspects of the acquisition, development, sale and financing of commercial, industrial and mixed-use property, multi-family housing, affordable housing projects, retail centers, construction lending, mezzanine financing, bridge financing, syndicated loans, securitized financing, and like-kind exchanges. She has substantial experience with federally insured and guaranteed financing transactions, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Low Income Housing Tax Credits and Section 8 contracts.
Passionate about supporting her community and utilizing her legal experience to help others, Rebecca is a devoted mental health advocate and activist with Cornerstone Montgomery, one of the largest behavioral health organizations in the D.C. area. After serving on Cornerstone’s Board of Directors for seven years, in 2022 she accepted an invitation to join Cornerstone’s Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) corporation board. In this role, she advises on the various requirements involved in maintaining HUD financing and compliance.
