In connection with such transactions, we also assist our clients with their compliance with tenants’ rights regulations, including the District of Columbia Tenant Opportunity to Purchase Act (TOPA). By taking decisive, efficient steps, we avoid closing delays that could cost your business money.

As part of your transaction, we can assist you with structuring and implementing like-kind exchanges under IRC §1031. We can determine whether you qualify for a §1031, or other tax-deferred exchange, and then ensure that all requirements are met and that you find an appropriate qualifying property as part of the exchange such that you may take advantage of deferring gain.
