Creditors’ Rights
Preservation and Collection of Debts
Friedlander Misler was founded in 1964 in Washington, D.C. and counsels regional and national businesses and banks in the D.C. metropolitan area and throughout the United States on a full range of commercial matters. We protect the rights of creditors including community and national banks, other financial institutions and investors in the restructuring of loans, the negotiation of loan workouts, and, when necessary, liquidating collateral, prosecuting collection actions, foreclosures, pursuing deficiencies and enforcing judgments arising out of defaulted loans. The collection strategy depends upon the types and value of the debtor’s property, but may include liens against real property or high-value assets, or repossession of collateral.
We recognize that the goal of your bank or business is to recover the largest percentage of the debt possible. Our litigators are familiar with the daily challenges creditors face. With over five decades of experience, we will tirelessly brainstorm strategies to help you realize the highest possible recovery.
