Friedlander Misler, PLLC is pleased to announce that Principal Amy C. Serafino was selected for Connect CRE’s 2024 Lawyers in Real Estate Awards. Serafino was named a winner in the Washington, D.C. and Mid-Atlantic region.
“Congratulations to Amy, who continues to elevate the bar in our industry,” said Friedlander Misler Managing Member David M. Astrove. “She is an asset both in the firm and to her clients in their various real estate endeavors.”
The Connect CRE Lawyers in Real Estate Awards program, now in its sixth consecutive year, recognizes outstanding commercial real estate attorneys who have an impact in practice, the industry, and their communities. Serafino was selected as a winner from more than 300 submissions from companies across the country.
In her practice, Serafino draws on nearly two decades of industry experience to advise clients on complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, commercial leasing, real estate development, and construction. She represents sellers, buyers, owner/developers, landlords, and tenants in transactions involving major office buildings, large retail shopping centers, mixed-use developments, and other premier real estate projects. She has extensive experience drafting and negotiating a broad range of real estate transactional documents.
Outside of the office, Serafino serves as an adjunct professor at Georgetown Law School. Her course, “Drafting and Negotiating for Commercial Real Estate Transactions,” helps students develop the knowledge and skills needed to represent key parties in commercial real estate transactions. Of additional significance is Serafino’s board role with Community Forklift, a Hyattsville, Maryland-based nonprofit reuse warehouse that eliminates waste and fosters a healthier environment by recognizing, retaining, and returning the value of used and surplus building materials, construction tools, appliances, and furnishings to the community.
