Amy Serafino is a member in the firm’s Real Estate and Commercial Transactions practice groups. Amy’s practice focuses on commercial real estate transactions, specializing in acquisitions, dispositions, commercial leasing, real estate development and construction. She represents sellers, buyers, owner/developers, landlords and tenants in a wide variety of commercial real estate transactions with respect to major office buildings, large retail shopping centers, mixed-use developments, and other premier real estate projects. She has extensive experience drafting and negotiating a broad range of real estate transactional documents including: commercial leases and lease amendments for office, industrial and retail users, purchase and sale agreements, design and construction contracts (AIA and custom drafting) for large scale commercial projects, partnership, joint venture and LLC operating agreements, corporate resolutions, demolition and environmental remediation agreements, SNDAs and project management and refinancing agreements.

Amy represents a large investment fund (with assets in over 35 different markets throughout the U.S.) in a wide variety of commercial real estate transactions, primarily focusing on the negotiating and drafting of commercial leases and lease amendments, as well as dispositions of real estate. In addition to her commercial leasing and acquisition and disposition experience, Amy has negotiated and drafted contracts for large-scale construction and development projects, including a design-build agreement for large scale convention center hotel in the District of Columbia and a public-private partnership construction contract for the construction of a baseball stadium. In addition, she is experienced with title and survey review, having served as the lead real estate attorney reviewing and commenting on title and survey materials relating to large-scale privatization and revitalization efforts at military housing bases. She has discovered and solved complex title and survey issues, as counsel to buyers and sellers in large commercial land transactions.
